For an hour a day in English class, everyday, we talk about how much drinking happened in the 1920s and 30s and how it was interpreted as successful. Unlike Fitzgerald, I don’t think I have the stamina to build a career whilst married to a bottle of whiskey, but I can still be an avid fan of flapper wear. Sequins, embroidery, gems, hats, gloves, pearls, kitten heels, love.

Yes it is rather funny how people interpreted such a lifestyle as being "successful" however, I wouldn't mind spending a month in such an environment, dressed in sequin and feathers with a turban on my head, dreamy!
