Classic Books for You, a teenager???

My sister is down stairs watching Phineas and Ferb, I am bloated on chocolate mint covered espresso beans and I'm craving a decent great book. (yes, this is my friday night) Anyways here are some of my favorites which I read and loved and re-read and loved again (basically you're a lunatic if you haven't read any of these, and you're my soul mate if you have read all of them)

I LOVE: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, any Haruki Murakami, Charles Bukowski and Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac and William S Burroughs AND THE WHOLE ENTIRE BEAT GENERATION <33333! At the moment I'm reading A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess- I love the film so I was like hey ho I'll give it a go! It is good!
Oh and I also love Nabokov!
We gotta talk about book sometime! :-)

High five. It's friday night and I'm reading old Neil Gaiman books. If you have chance, have a gander at his American Gods book.

Also have to agree with the comment above and press Nabokov on you! GENIUS!

Arghh where have I been? I haven't read any of these, but some of them are definitely going on my 'to read' list (I don't actually have one of those... I really should!) I really need a new book, love the look of these. Have you read Rebecca and/ or My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier, or Brighton Rock? They're my favourites! Oh and a great series to read if you want an easy and not too serious read is Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, the first of a (in my opinion) brilliant series.
Thanks for posting, I love learning about other peoples favourite books!

I'm reading Into the Wild right now for school. I actually really like it and it's very interesting. I'll have to check out the other books you're recommended. :)

I have read some of these, ah. This post just reminds me that I have to read more, but damn it. Where to find the time? I read so much more when I was younger :(
